Closer than a Pair of Bull Testicles

I don’t think it is possible for anyone to have a more frustrating overall week than Team Burns had or a more lucky one than Team Case. After this week’s RFC events finally came to a close he did finish with the most points total for the week but just barely missed out on two key event wins. The first came in NASCAR after his team dominated the race for 95% of the time only to lose the event by 11 points to Team Case after a misfortunate tire failure. The second was a record close loss to Team Case in PBR. The margin of victory at the Des Moines Classic was less than 1 point. A mere 0.34 points separated first and second place! It was an outstanding showing from the RFC participants, four of which placed in the top 100 overall this week (Kenny finished 8th, Burns finished 14th, and Sack finished 29th, and Hames finished 97th), and an honorable mention goes to Bryan who just missed the cut at 102. The BASS teams stepped it up big this week with almost everyone scoring over a thousand points. The big winner was Team Stancil who amassed a near record breaking 1316 points and finished in the 94th percentile. That win was Team Stancil’s first BASS event win, which went nicely along with Team Hames’s first event win in NHRA. Leaving the two teams tied at 2 events but Hames stays ahead of Stacil with the better tie breaker score.
