Reach up and pull those belts tight! This is the first week where all four RFC events will be in play, thanks to the debut of fantasy drag racing. This new wildcard event could open the door for a standings shake-up, which has thus far been dominated by Team Case. PBR is the odd man out by hosting its event in Nebraska, rather than the southwest like all three other RFC events. BASS sticks around Texas for another week, NHRA is preparing to tear up the Las Vegas strip, and NASCAR heads to sunny Phoenix, where hopefully they can avoid the rain clouds for the second week in a row. This week marks the start of the second round of NASCAR match-ups, so it is revenge time for all those who got stomped in round one. For those who don’t remember, and to rub salt in the wound, Harman suffered a one point loss in week one to the then single owner Team Haser. Revenge will be twice a sweet this time around if he can manage to knock the Burns/Haser duo out of second place with a stunning upset. Team Brohl will also be looking to avenge their narrow 21 point loss to Aborted Fetus Salad in the hope of tying Hames for first place. Team Brohl looks poised to secure his fourth win in a row, coming off an event win and fielding 3 of the top 8 drivers at Phoenix over the last 3 years. Both the MiamiKennycases and Team Dingleberry Pie suffered tough losses in week one but that was probably because Bryan had four drivers in instead of three and Sack did not have Michael Waltrip on his team. Look for these recent team strategies to add a new edge to their match-ups in week 8.
