Oh Sweet Revenge

This week’s race in Pheonix allowed two teams to give a little payback to those who beat them in the opening race at Daytona. The Miami Kennycases took down the leader going into last week, Hames’ Sloppy Seconds, after Ryan Newman bowed out of the race after only 134 laps. Car problems also brought down Aborted Fetus Salad when Elliot Sadler, who was the subject of a trade last week, blew his engine and dropped from a top ten car to a 41st place finish. This allowed Team Brohl to take advantage of the three car team, who had been winning by 150 points at the time of the engine failure, and steamrolled to a 522 point win, besting AFS by over 50 points, and securing a second consecutive event win. Team Brohl now leads NASCAR with 3 event wins and 3863 points. Unfortunately for AFS, had they not traded away Travis Kvapil for Elliot Sadler they would have won. Although Kvapil could not carry the day for the newly named team Biggest Douche in the Universe. Who lost for a second time to the other newly named Team Meximelt, who with this win jumps into a three way tie for first at 6-2 with Hames and Brett. Unfortunately Harman remains in the cellar at a mere 1-7. Last, and least was the TJ vs Sack matchup which was a hard fought battle finishing at a close 438 to 409. The difference maker was again Michael Waltrip who for some reason Sack decided to bench in favor of Matt Kenseth. Had the team manager stuck to his guns and kept the all-star Waltrip in his lineup he could have taken the win. Hopefully it will be a good lesson for the struggling Team DingleBerryPie and hopefully the third time around they will be able to clinch a win over Suzy’s Big Ass during week 15 at Michigan.
